Breakfast Review! Coming to Huck Finn during Christmas time is always a nostalgic experience for me. I came here with my family for breakfast. Our server, Stephanie, was very bubbly and energetic. She was great about making recommendations, asking questions about how we wanted our orders, and ensured we were checked on often. Our food came out promptly; everything was fresh and hot, big portions, and hit the spot. One pays the bills at the front register and don't pass up their famous donuts. Overall, Huck Finn is a classic diner style restaurant open 24/7. It's a neighborhood staple that doesn't change in quality. Already looking forward to my next visit next year for the holidays.

Food is pretty overpriced, never had it though, so this review won't concern their menu items. I go here for their pastries; which are 10x better than Dunkin/any supermarket. The pasties + the remarkable service = 5 stars However, the overpriced menu drops it to 4 stars. If they lowered their prices a little bit--(I know things are pricier now, but come on)--I'd give them 5.

It's okay--("CHEF RECOMMENDED -- BECKY THATCHER BREAKFAST") 2 Eggs (any style) with 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 pancakes, butter and syrup

The donuts were amazing. My breakfast was good but I wish I hadn't heard the servers having a very personal conversation ....with lots of swear words. Inappropriate in the setting we were in, glad I didn't have my children with me.

10 o'clock at night coming from Midway airport no place is open. Everything is closed. We've been in the air for 4 1/2 hours. We left a half an hour late plane was supposed to be in at 7:30. Plane got in at 8:15 getting the luggage picking up our car on the way home we stopped at two different restaurants which were closed and I remembered Huckfinn place. I haven't been in a couple years but it's on the way to our house from the airport so my wife and I went to Huck friends got there about 1015. I had a saladand Thanksgiving, turkey with stuffing and veggies and my wife had a omelette with goat cheese and spinach and everything was great for a restaurant laid at night. The waitress was pleasant this place got a great review from David Haynes who does reviews on WGN Radio Friday morning, so it's an easy five star.

Who can say no to all day breakfasts? Huck Finn is a pretty good family restaurant with lots of options. I tried their chipotle skillet which with a side of buttered English muffins which was pretty yummy. The service was great too, very friendly staff and the ambience was nostalgic and homey. Would come back again.
